Plenty of goals on the second matchday of the Champions League.

On their trip to Kazakhstan, Real Madrid comfortably beat Kairat Almaty 5-0, while Atalanta edged past Club Brugge 2-1.


Marseille collected their first three points of the competition with an emphatic 4-0 win over Ajax, as Inter Milan enjoyed a calm evening, brushing aside Slavia Prague 3-0. Chelsea scraped past Benfica 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, while Liverpool suffered a second consecutive defeat, this time losing 1-0 to Galatasaray.

Pafos were thrashed 5-1 at home by Bayern Munich in their Champions League debut. Bodø/Glimt dropped two points against Tottenham in a 2-2 draw, Atlético Madrid dismantled Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1, and Qarabag FK made it two wins from two with victory over Copenhagen.

The following day, Union Saint-Gilloise were routed 4-0 at home by Newcastle. Monaco and Manchester City shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw, while Borussia Dortmund overcame Athletic Bilbao 4-1. Napoli beat Sporting Lisbon 2-1, as Villarreal and Juventus settled for a 2-2 draw.

Arsenal saw off Olympiakos 2-0, Leverkusen and PSV Eindhoven finished level at 1-1, and finally, Paris Saint-Germain snatched a vital 2-1 win over Barcelona in Catalonia.
